Education: I graduated from the Peabody Preparatory Conservatory of Music, and went on to study Piano performance at William & Mary and at University of Maryland College Park. I have also studied music styles / songwriting at City College in San Francisco.
About Tony Nguyen
Tony Nguyen has been diligent and passionate about music since a young age. Classically trained with James Warthen, he completed the curriculum at the Peabody Preparatory Conservatory in Advanced Studies in piano during high school. Tony has also studied classical piano under Anne Koscielny and jazz piano under Ron Elliston while at University of Maryland.
He thinks creatively and compassionately about music and continues modern music practice. Tony is fortunate to be able to integrate backgrounds in yoga and healthcare into his style of teaching which includes active listening, supportive goal setting, and intelligent practice. Tony engages with each student he instructs and brings inspiration from a diverse musical background. He is self-taught in popular style guitar and electronic music, as well.
