About Steven Wang

Steven is a passionate and curious multi-instrumentalist specializing in voice, guitar, piano, percussion, and music production. As co-Music Director of Furmata A Cappella at the University of Washington, he led the group to 2nd place at the 2025 ICCA Finals and received the Outstanding Arrangement award. He is a drummer for a local Chinese band called FIX. He has also performed across the U.S. from Seattle to New York with his guitar and voice, and released original music as Steven Wang on all platforms

He is committed and infinitely inspired to help students discover their own voice. He has taught students of all ages, and he genuinely loves seeing the joy and accomplishment the student feels in every part of their musical journey. His teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable, meeting each student where they are and make lessons feel like a time for musical and self discovery. He is fluent in both Mandarin and English and have had experience with multi-lingual instruction.

Steven is a strong believer in not only teaching the student how to sing or play their instrument, but showing the student all the reasons that they love the music that they make.
