About Spencer Adamson

Spencer is a piano teacher from North Texas. He began his musical education at the age of 4 after begging his parents for piano lessons. Growing up with a classical music background, he began competing in State and local piano competitions from the ages of 12-16. After graduating high school, he attended the University of North Texas with a major in Classical Piano Performance. During this time, he connected with pianist, Augvst Antonov, from France, who mentored him in the business of performing, as well as instilling in him the habits that allows one to rise to the level of a professional.

Since 2009, Spencer has been performing professionally in multiple bands both independently and with a record label. He lived in Chicago from 2013-2018, performing as a hired pianist and studio session artist playing in genres such as Blues, R&B, Folk, and Country. He has toured nationally with several artists and has performed overseas and currently performs locally and out-of-state with his current band, The Regular.

Spencer teaches both classical and contemporary music and works with students of all levels, providing them with a strong foundation in music theory, technique, and improvisation. With this approach, he aims to foster creativity and the ability to perform in multiple styles.
