About Shelly Phillips

Shelly Phillips has been teaching private lessons on Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass for several years. She fell in love with stringed instruments when she started playing in her school orchestra in 5th grade while growing up in Louisiana. She has been teaching in the North Texas Frisco area for the past 11 years and has a Master of Music Education from Florida State University.

She also has performed in regional symphony orchestras in Louisiana, Florida, Arkansas, and Texas.

Teaching is her passion and she has always loved to share her love of music with her students. Her students have successfully received top ratings in UIL, All Region, and Solo competitions. More importantly, her students have consistently continued playing their instruments and have even inspired their family members to also play a stringed instrument.
