About Shannon Harrison

Shannon Harrison is a passionate music educator and performer based in College Park, Orlando, Florida. With over 20 years of performance experience and a heart for teaching, she creates a supportive, joyful learning environment where students of all ages can thrive.

A classically trained guitarist, Shannon studied at the University of Hawaiʻi, and brings a strong foundation in technique, theory, and musicianship to every lesson. She teaches a wide variety of styles including classical, fingerstyle, folk, pop, rock, and blues, and offers instruction in TAB, traditional notation, songwriting, and music reading.

In addition to guitar, Shannon teaches ukulele, beginner piano/keyboard, ear training, music theory, and offers vocal coaching for students who want to sing while they play. Her approach is holistic: she’s passionate about developing well-rounded musicians—not just players.

Shannon believes music should be both enriching and enjoyable. Whether you're preparing for serious study or just want to play your favorite songs, she tailors each lesson to your goals. There’s no rigid curriculum—just a personalized path that evolves with you. With endless patience and a truly empathetic heart, Shannon meets students where they are and builds from there.

She offers in-person, in-home, and online lessons for students of all ages and levels. Known for her encouraging presence and individualized teaching style, Shannon helps students grow in skill, confidence, and self-expression.
