About Scott Micek

Scott is a multi instrumental artist and drum teacher from Denver, Colorado.

Scott's musical journey began in youth when he was gifted a nice, shiny snare drum. From there, He went on to study under Les Cook. He started his first band at age 12 ,and thus the power of music found him. Music became a safe space where he could express his emotions. Scott felt he had finally found a home.

Pulling influence from Gene Krupa, Ginger Baker, and Pink Floyd, Scott has continued his studies, exploring several different music styles and time signatures. Scott cofounded the local Denver band YooDooVooDoo. He also loves studio work. He is currently involved in recording soundtracks for a black-and-white movie series.

Scott has been teaching music for the last 30 years, as he loves giving back and sharing his knowledge and passion for music with others.
