    About Scott Byrne

    Scott Byrne is an accomplished musician and producer with an extensive and diverse background in engineering and media production. His expertise spans all facets of music & audio: from the stage to the studio, small collaborations to large-scale live performances, and everything in between. He has decades of experience as a guitarist, pianist, vocalist, songwriter & producer.

    Since 2015, Scott has served as the Music Director & Head of Audio Production for Kidz Bop Live, the world’s top-selling children's music show. In this role, he oversees all music production, manages sound engineering staff across FOH, Monitor, and Playback, designs audio playback for live events, and has trained the performers on musicality and vocal performance. Additionally, he produces international broadcasts for platforms such as Prime, the BBC, and SkyTV, and was recently credited as Music Director for a nationally distributed concert film produced by Fortress Studios.

    As a highly sought-after freelance engineer and producer, Scott collaborates with internationally recognized artists, independent creators, and film production companies. His studio credits include working in legendary rooms such as Abbey Road Studios (London), Sunset Sound, The Sound Factory, Blackbird, Omni Sound Studio, VuDu Studios, and Engine Room Audio. On the live sound front, he has worked as a systems tech, FOH engineer, and corporate A1 for companies like Upstage Companies of Salt Lake City, with highlights including FOH for The Ballpark at America First Square opening concert, A1 for John Deere, and L’Acoustic System Tech for Gareth Emery’s LSR/CTY Tour. He was also a systems tech and monitor engineer for the Rise Music & Lantern Festival (Las Vegas, 2025) and Playback Engineer for the Universal Music Group Grammy Artist Showcase (January 2026).

    Scott holds a BS in Music from Fredonia State University with a focus on classical composition and vocal performance. He is highly proficient in a wide range of industry technology, including Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton, Cubase, Serato, Wwise, and Unreal Engine, alongside advanced knowledge of professional audio systems such as L’Acoustics (Soundvision, L-ISA) and Meyer (Compass), and professional consoles from Digico (SD & Quantum), Midas (Pro & Heritage), Yamaha (Rivage & CL5), SSL, API, and Neve.
