    About Sami Steidl

Sami Steidl is a versatile player and teacher specializing in Violin, Viola and Cello across many genres. Sam began playing the Viola and Violin in her hometown of Alexandria, MN at age 11. Discovering a passion for the fiddle, Sam started performing with Irish and Country bands throughout Minnesota and the Midwest. Sam was a recipient of several music scholarships, allowing her to study Viola and Violin performance at CU Boulder and St. Cloud State University. While Sam is trained in classical music studies and techniques, she is known for being well-versed, tasteful, and in-demand in genres such as Folk, Rock, Jazz and Gypsy-Jazz, Bluegrass and Country.

Since moving to Denver in 2014, Sami Steidl established herself within Denver's music scene. Sam is the fiddle player in Denver-based Americana group Coal Town Reunion, and was recently invited to be the fiddler on the 13th Annual Last Waltz Revisited at Denver's Fillmore Auditorium and The Boulder Theater.
