    About Sam Repasky

Sam started her journey with piano when she was 12, watching youtube tutorials and making her way through pop songs like alicia keys - girl on fire and imagine dragons - demons. In college she pursued a more formal education in music, studying Music theory, Aural skills, Jazz improv, Piano, and Music History. With her main focus on Jazz and playing Jazz with other musicians. She became proficient in Improv, Composing, and Reading sheet music. Also, picking up other instruments: drums, guitar, bass, cello.

Sam currently performs in Open Jazz Jam sessions around Atlanta, her favorite being Trent Patton’s jam session held weekly at ASW Whiskey Exchange. She also plays in an indie folk band with her friends, playing shows around Atlanta. She is able to play with musicians of all different styles and backgrounds who continue to inspire her to keep learning.

Sam has been teaching private and group swim lessons for kids and adults for the past 6 years, and she has particularly enjoyed bringing her love of teaching and her love of music together since graduating college. Sam believes everyone is a musician. Her goal as a teacher is to bring tools and tricks to the table to help inspire the inner musician and artist of every student, so they may express themselves freely. She believes lessons should be 100% for and about the student, and will put her best foot forward to allow the student to learn and develop in ways that are most natural to them, and to have fun while doing it.
