Teacher Profile: Sabrina Marin

About Sabrina Marin

Sabrina is a musician born and raised in Arlington, Virginia. Music has been an important part of Sabrinas life since the age of five, when she first began her musical journey playing the piano. Sabrina has also been playing the oboe since the age of 10.

Currently pursuing a degree in Music Education at Northern Virginia Community College, Sabrina hopes to make teaching music a lifelong career. Her goal is to inspire students to discover the same joy, creativity, and confidence that music has brought into her own life. She believes that every student has the ability to grow as a musician and strives to create a positive and encouraging learning environment.

In addition to their studies, Sabrina serves as President of her college’s Music Society, where she helps foster a strong sense of community among fellow musicians. She also performs as the first oboist in the college's community band, where she continues to grow as a musician. 

Outside of music, Sabrina enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, reading, photography, and spending time with her animals. She enjoys expressing creativity in different ways while continuing to learn and explore outside of the classroom.

With a lifelong passion for music, creativity, and education, Sabrina is committed to helping the next generation of musicians find their own voice, build confidence, and develop a lasting appreciation for music
