Trey Cross grew up in Southwest Florida and began his musical journey when he found a pair of his father's old drum sticks and joined his middle school band program. Within a few years, his passion for playing music grew and he picked up guitar and began taking private percussion lessons with a local college professor.
Trey continued to pursue music in college and within his first semester was gigging and teaching lessons regularly. Fast forwarding to today, Trey is an incredibly busy full time musician. Between working with 4 different school band programs, booking gigs with his own jazz trios, playing musicals at theaters, playing with Symphony Orchestra's, and regular church gigs, Trey has picked up a LOT of musical knowledge that he imparts on his students in lessons.
Trey utilizes different teaching techniques for each student, tailoring lessons to fit everybody's needs. He has taught students that are 4 years old, and students that were 84 years old, and everything in between! He also uses technology in the lessons to bring music education into the 21st century, making for a fun, interactive lesson between him and the student.
