    About Phoebe Haun

    Described as “eternally optimistic, always poised and charming” by her high school orchestra director, Phoebe Haun is a vibrant freelance violist whose passion is sharing classical music with the world. She specializes in classical solo viola, string quartet, and orchestra, bringing a rich and energetic sound to the spaces she performs.

    Phoebe has performed with the Monroe Symphony Orchestra, San Angelo Symphony Orchestra, Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra, the University of North Texas Baroque Orchestra, and UNT Symphony Orchestra. She teaches viola, violin, and piano lessons. She also takes freelance opportunities such as church gigs, wedding ceremonies, and string quartet collaborations.

    Phoebe graduated in May 2022 with a degree in Viola Performance from the University of North Texas. She has studied with Dr. Susan Dubois and Dr. Daphne Gerling at UNT, and has learned under the batons of Dr. David Itkin, Dr. Clay Couturiaux, and Dr. German Gutierrez.

    Based in Denton, TX, Phoebe enjoys rock climbing, lattes, and writing poetry. In five years, she sees herself traveling the world and teaching, performing, and meeting new people.
