    About Nina Youn

Nina Youn, a violinist with an ever growing passion in teaching and sharing music, has a Bachelor’s in Music from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Music for Violin Pedagogy and performance under the tutelage of Keng Yuen Tseng.

She has been teaching those of all ages the art of the violin and most importantly loving music. Her undergrad quartet group, The Ember Quartet, has held masterclasses for the Peabody Preparatory. She has also studied under many other renowned teachers such as William Pu , Noriko Clift and James Durnham.

In addition to playing under the baton of Joseph Young, Marin Alsop and Stephen Mulligan during her time at the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra and Peabody Symphony Orchestra, she has also had the privilege of performing for Fever Event’s Candlelight Concert series and is currently part of an outreach program playing for patients at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

She absolutely loves to share music through performance but she thinks teaching is just as fulfilling and important. During Covid-19 she had the opportunity to teach a small group of young students and many of them have continued with violin post lessons with Nina.

She truly believes music heals the spirit , whether that be through teaching or performing. She strives to do her best to share the art of the violin in every way.
