About Mollie Green
Originally from the small town of Altavista, Virginia, Mollie Green began her involvement in music and musical theatre at the age of eight, which marked the beginning of her passion and pursuit of the arts. Training with a variety of teachers/vocal coaches through theatre and choral programs during her primary and secondary school years, Mollie continued to learn and grow as a vocal performer.
From the classical training she received as a selected member of the Children’s Youth Choir of Central Virginia and her high school’s Women’s Chorale to the more contemporary training she received with private voice coaches in both high school and college, Mollie gained a well-rounded background in music and vocal performance. Major theatrical roles included Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Jane in Tarzan the Musical, Penny in Hairspray, and others. A year after graduating from the University of Mary Washington with a BA in Communications and Musical Theatre in 2020, where she frequently performed with her collegiate a cappella group and took music/voice classes under the instruction of various professional vocalists, Mollie moved to Atlanta to pursue an acting career. However, music and singing have once again pulled her focus and have worked their way to the forefront of her creative endeavors and professional pursuits. Mollie is currently an active member of and lead singer for the Atlanta Acoustic Artists, a troupe of musicians performing around the metropolitan area at public and private events covering a multi-genre and multi-generational range of music.
After working as a Youth Development Specialist at a summer camp in northern California in 2018 and Camp Counselor/Teacher’s Assistant and Summer Music Director at her local YMCA in 2019, Mollie gained a passion for working with kids and found the most joy in helping students grow in their musical endeavors. She loves to share her knowledge and passion with other young aspiring singers and aims to create an environment that uplifts and inspires each student to find their own joy and create their own path in the invigorating realm of music.
