About Melody McDowell

Melody has always loved music, even from an early age. She began playing piano at the age of five and continued her education through lessons and an amazing music teacher of her own. Her biggest musical influence was her teacher from second grade through twelfth grade, Donna Hopkins. She taught her music theory, flute, piano, and other important things. Melody’s favorite thing about music is the expression of feelings in music. She believes music is a way to speak without words. When taking lessons from Melody you can expect to learn. She does everything in her power to teach her students, even using different methods than her standard. She looks forward to getting to know you as a student and learning about your specific goals, interests, and learning style.
