A classically trained opera and musical theater performer, as well as a gifted songwriter, Lyza brings a wealth of experience, passion, and professionalism to her teaching.

Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Lyza has been captivating audiences since the age of 9, performing in staged productions across a wide range of genres. Her deep-rooted love for the performing arts led her to pursue higher education in music, and she is currently based in Atlanta while earning her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at Georgia State University—a testament to her dedication and ongoing pursuit of musical excellence.

In addition to her vocal expertise, Lyza is a well-rounded instrumentalist. She has played the flute and piano for several years, bringing a strong foundation in musicianship that enhances her holistic approach to vocal training. She has also spent the past many years teaching voice privately, nurturing students of all ages and backgrounds with warmth, patience, and technical insight.
