Louanna Colón is a Baltimore area Piano, Voice, and Violin instructor. When asked why she wanted to pursue music, recalled the first time she ever heard Mimi’s aria in La Boheme in her car. The ethereal passion and transcendent manner of communicating emotion through music completely changed her life and since then she has had the desire to replicate that moment for others and inspiring and teaching others to be able to do the same.
Louanna received her Bachelor's Degree in Classical Vocal Performance from James Madison University and is currently pursuing her master’s at Peabody Institute in performance and pedagogy. She began her musical studies on the Violin at the age of ten, along with Piano, and continued playing in Symphony Orchestra and chamber groups through university.
Louanna has a passion for teaching that is growing with speed and intensity the more students she gains and becomes apart of their musical journey. The heart and soul of her teaching is leaving her students with a lasting love and passion for music that can shape their life and perspectives. She feels blessed to have had the opportunity to have been enrolled in music lessons and feels even more grateful to have the opportunity to impart that blessing to her students as well.
