Loree Spriggs started playing classical piano at the age of four years old under the Suzuki method of learning by ear. Instructors led her to music theory, technique and performance using the James Bastian method. She is a James Bastian method teacher and has taught neighborhood family children since she was a sophomore in high school.
Loree is a self taught and self motivated practicing adult, developing her music education and experiences in the Greater Seattle area. Originally from the east coast, Loree attended the University of Virginia where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Art History, Philosophy and Film studies.
Loree's liberal arts background is founded in curiosity and a thirst for knowledge that she seeks to inspire in her students. Music is a corner-store to her life. She is the second oldest of five siblings, all of whom also play piano and share in her unwavering musical affinity.
