Lillian’s goal is to share her passion for music, helping to create confidence and excitement within her students. She is a multi-talented instrumentalist and dedicated and teacher of piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, and double bass, and she enjoys guiding students of all levels to discover their own love of music.
Lillian began her musical journey in the fifth grade, when she started playing double bass in her school’s string program. She also took an avid interesting in sing and has been singing in choirs since elementary school. She is familiar with both classical and pop styles of singing.
In addition to participating in school ensembles, she served as assistant principal for both the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra and the Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra. She fell in love with performing and went on to compete in TMEA All-Region and All-State, thrilled by the chance to play professional-level music alongside other passionate musicians. She also is a performing vocalist, pianist, and dedicated her professional time to learning other stringed instruments such as the violin, viola, and cello.
Currently, Lillian is a student at the University of North Texas, majoring in music education. She began her college career in music performance but soon discovered her deep love for teaching, leading her to shift her focus to music education. Lillian strives to inspire each of her students to reach their full potential, and her ultimate goal is to teach music at the elementary level and found a string program at an underserved school.
