About Kieran Woodiwiss

As essential as air, music has defined much of Kieran’s life. Playing guitar from the age of 10, he has traveled the US playing in bands of all shapes and sounds. With a preference for improvisation and a feeling-based approach, music has informed his perspective on most everything. This passion, infused with persistent dedication has fostered many cherished connections and provides a pathway to opportunity in his life.

Currently, Kieran is active in (at least) three bands, playing guitar in an art-punk outfit, bass in both a folk-jam band & a genre defying experimental duo. He also is co-founder of a Denver based DIY music collective which is dedicated to building community, providing platforms for local artists and supporting local charities.

Kieran studied music at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, FL and the University of North Texas learning under Robert Winslow, Kenneth Hanks and Philip Ajarapu to name just a few mentors. Here, he also expanded his love and knowledge of piano by taking classes and private lessons . He graduated from the University of South Florida with a BS in Environmental Science and Policy.

When not playing music, Kieran can be found making art - from paper collage to live projector visuals for bands at venues or festivals. He loves hiking, cooking, and spending time with his rescue pup Lupé.
