Kathy Garner Simpson holds a Bachelor of Music degree from The Boston Conservatory and a Master of Music degree from Boston University School of Music. In 2019, Mrs. Simpson moved to Florida from Michigan where she was on the faculty of the Community Music School of Battle Creek and performed with the West Michigan Flute Orchestra and Great Lakes Flutes and was on their Board of Directors. She previously lived many years in the Boston area where she was an active professional flutist and teacher, performing with several orchestras, chamber groups, and theater groups and was adjunct faculty at Bowdoin College, Thayer Conservatory, and St. Paul’s School. She has taught beginners up through college level and beyond and specializes in preparing flutists for competition and college entrance auditions.
