Kamaya is a gifted violinist whose extraordinary talent and deep commitment to music inspire the students and families she serves. Raised in a family of talented musicians, she developed a love for music at an early age. She began playing the violin at age ten after being inspired by her elementary school music teacher, and she quickly immersed herself in school orchestras, local ensembles, and community performances.
Throughout middle and high school, Kamaya consistently demonstrated excellence and leadership. She earned honors such as “Outstanding Musician” and “Best Stand Partner” of the Year. She performed with the Gwinnett County Youth Symphony (GCYS), where she received a certificate of completion, and participated in honor orchestra as well as distinguished concerts like MasterWorks. She was also inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society, reflecting both her musicianship and leadership within the music community.
As a trusted and respected young musician, Kamaya performed for nursing homes, local schools, and important community events, sharing her talent and heart for service through music.
Kamaya is currently pursuing a double major in Violin Performance and Music Education at Kennesaw State University. During her time there, she has performed in various ensembles, presented solo recitals, and continued to distinguish herself as both a performer and educator. In her second year, she was awarded the Cooke Scholarship in recognition of her hard work and dedication.
Her passion for teaching is evident in her extensive leadership and service experience. Kamaya has volunteered as a string coach for String Day, North Georgia Honor Orchestra (NGHO), and Orchestra Invitational for three years.
Kamaya blends performance excellence with a genuine love for teaching. She is passionate about helping each student grow in confidence, technique, and artistry.
