    About Justin Doepke

Justin Doepke is a passionate music educator and performer offering private lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. Currently a junior at Kennesaw State University, Justin is pursuing a dual degree in Music Education and Music Composition at the Dr. Bobbie Bailey School of Music. With over ten years of experience playing brass instruments—including trombone, baritone, tuba, and trumpet—he brings both versatility and energy to every lesson.

Justin is a dedicated student of Dr. Michael DeSousa and performs in KSU’s top ensembles, including the elite Wind Symphony and the NoonDay Brass Quintet. He also regularly plays in various chamber groups and large ensembles. Beyond brass, Justin has expanded his musical focus to include piano and contemporary composition, giving him a well-rounded and thoughtful approach to teaching music.

Justin’s teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, curiosity, and encouraging every student’s unique musical journey. He believes music is a powerful way to grow, express oneself, and connect with others—and he aims to help each student discover their own musical voice. Whether working with young beginners or more experienced musicians, he creates a positive, supportive environment where students can build confidence and develop both technical skill and artistic expression.

Justin’s ability to tailor lessons to each student’s needs, blending solid fundamentals with fun, creativity, and real-world musical experience creates an environment for healthy and fun lessons! His lessons are designed to inspire a lifelong love of music—whether a student is just starting out or preparing for advanced performance opportunities.

When he’s not teaching or performing, Justin enjoys composing emotionally rich music for strings and brass, attending live concerts, and exploring new creative projects. Above all, he is passionate about sharing the joy and wonder of music with the next generation.
