About Justin Bales

Justin Bales is a Piano and Percussion player from Seattle, Washington. Justin has been playing piano since he was 10 and added on drums in the 4th grade. He has over 20 years of experience playing music! Justin loves to play Spanish piano suites, and dark works like Rachmaninov. He also plays drumset- Rock and Funk are his favorites. Justin's largest passion is marching percussion, having previously played snare drum for groups like The University of Washington Husky Drumline, and the Seattle Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps.

Justin has over 10 years of teaching experience working with local area high schools- Kamiak, Interlake, Bellevue, Roosevelt, Ballard to name a few! Justin also worked as an instructional assistant at a local high school, working with students everyday and learning to become the best educator and mentor that he could be. Academically, Justin holds a BA in Environmental Studies- Conservation Science and Management, and a Music Minor, graduating Cum Laude/3.8 from the University of Washington Bothell.

Justin lives with his wife, 6mo old son, and very energetic dog. When Justin isn't playing his drumset or marching snare drum, you can find him skiing, hiking, or at the dog park chucking a ball.
