About Joshua Weathers

Joshua Weathers is professional Kontrabassist operating in the Southeast. He graduated from Valdosta State University in 2013 and has continued learning, teaching, and performing since then. Currently, he enjoys performing with the Gainesville Orchestra, the Georgia Symphony, and the Ocala Symphony. In the past, he has also performed with the Valdosta symphony and the Ocala Symphony. Teaching is one Mr. Weathers' greatest passions. He has had the privilege of instructing at several institutions such as the South Georgia String Project and the Fulton County School System. Outside of teaching and playing, he enjoys science fiction, archery, and is an avid reader.
