Teacher Profile: Joshua Gabriel

About Joshua Gabriel

Joshua Gabriel believes that music is one of the mediums to express our emotions. He started Piano lessons at the age of six was able to complete the Certificate of Merit program where he learned all the fundamentals of music theory along with piano technique.

With the solid foundation of piano and music theory, Josh has been able to teach himself other instruments such as guitar and percussion. He has played in many bands and has been able to learn all different styles of music. He continues to perform and write music to this day.

Josh has a passion for teaching piano. He believes in providing his students the fundamentals, but also catering to each student's individual needs. He enjoys encouraging his students to write their own music and knows that by catering to a student's music interests, this will help keep them motivated. He is committed to a positive work environment.

Outside of music, Josh is an Air Force Reservist. He also enjoys playing basketball and hiking. He believes that having a well rounded set of interests can aid in the creative process.
