About Jose Agustin Galan Cardozo

J. Agustín Galán Cardozo is originally from Bogotá, Colombia in South America. His native language is Spanish. His musical career began at the age of 15 when he began taking private classical and popular guitar lessons with teacher Pablo Boada Eslava. As a volunteer in his church band, he became interested in the electric guitar. To be able to study at the “Instituto Canción Colombia” music school, where in 2013 he graduated in “instrumental interpretation” focused on electric and acoustic guitar.

In Colombia, Agustín worked in academies such as "Dones y Talentos" and schools such as the "Gimnasio campestre Beth Shalom" teaching children, musical initiation and instrumental exploration. Augustin really likes teaching adults and young people the musical possibilities of string instruments. He has also been part of numerous rock bands such as “Rojas Rock”, cult and fusion bands.

In September 2022, Augustin moved to Denver and works as a musician focused on teaching and performing.
