Joseph Sanchez has been teaching since 2010 and has over 18 years of experience in the study and performance of music. He began his pursuit of music while still a child, eager to learn everything he could, and he studied under private instructors whose specialties ranged from classical to jazz to rock. He went on to be accepted to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he furthered his lifelong study of theory and harmony and tutored many of his peers.
Though Joseph's primary instrument is the guitar, he also offers piano, trumpet, and bass lessons to students at the beginner through intermediate levels. Joseph is adept at tailoring his lesson plans to best fit each individual student, and is happy to focus on any genre his students love most, including rock, jazz, and R&B.
Joseph's specialties include theory, songwriting and arranging, and production. As an audio engineer and producer for the past 10 years, Joseph is also an excellent fit for any student who is interested in the fields of recording, production, and professional performance. He has a wide range of performance experience ranging from performing in a classical environment while being accompanied by an orchestra to touring with an indie band. As an educator, Joseph's goal has always been to not only teach the curriculum material, but to inspire creativity and passion the way his teachers did for him.
