Joe Barnard has been training vocally since he was 13 years old. He is originally from Brownsville, Texas and moved to Colorado Springs in 7th grade. Joe started singing in middle school simply because it was a required credit, but it quickly became one of his biggest passions. During his time at Pine Creek High School in the Springs, Joe was a part of their auditioned choirs, a cappella groups, and even sang with the Colorado Men’s All State Choir in 2017.
Joe attended school at Colorado Christian University where he performed in the University Choir and Peak Harmony Vocal Ensemble. Joe graduated from CCU with a Bachelors in Music with an emphasis in Voice where he studied with many professors including Steven Taylor, David McNeil, and Jenny Stafford.
Joe didn’t do start doing theatre until his Junior year of college, but he quickly fell in love with it and decided to make it his professional career. Currently, Joe is working as a professional actor in the Denver scene, having performed at Vintage Theatre and at the Parker Arts Center. Outside of musical theatre, Joe performs with a Handbells Ensemble, takes dance lessons, plays volleyball, and enjoys taking care of his plants.
