Jessica Presso is a multi-instrumentalist who started her musicianship on the clarinet and saxophone. She started her first performing jazz band at the age of 12 and has been passionate about jazz ever since.
Jess attended CU Denver for voice, is trained in bel canto, has attended a master class with Michelle DeYoung, and has performed as a vocalist in both the US and Mexico. She is knowledgeable about theory, especially jazz theory, having focused her vocal training on jazz performance. She also plays piano, and when not expressing herself through jazz standards, loves to interact with impressionist pieces.
In lessons, Jess likes to balance fundamentals like theory and ear training with developing musical intuition and fostering creativity. Jess loves to encourage young people to be passionate about music and help them learn to express themselves through it.
In her free time, Jess likes to climb, go backpacking, and speak French. She also enjoys walks outside with her cat.
