    About Jennifer Watson

Jennifer Watson is a doctoral student and teaching fellow at the University of North Texas in vocal music. She received her Masters in vocal performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2020 and her Bachelors in vocal music education, K-12, from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2018.

Ms. Watson has taught piano and voice lessons since January of 2019 at such places as Merry Melody Music Academy in Massachusetts and Maughan Studios in OKC. In addition to this, Ms. Watson has been an adjunct professor at Rose State College, Oklahoma Baptist University, and the University of Central Oklahoma. She has experience teaching all ages: daycare, elementary, middle school, high school, undergraduates, and adults!

Ms. Watson has performed as a soloist with the Oklahoma City Ballet and Philharmonic in Lady of the Camellias, and has sung with the Chicago Summer Opera three years in a row, playing Miss Jessel in Britten’s Turn of the Screw, which won the Broadway World Chicago Award for Best Production of an Opera 2023.

It is her passion to find ways to balance growth and enjoyment, as well as encouraging students to build upon what they already know. Jennifer finds genuine joy in spending time with her students, which she hopes will build a foundation of trust and exploration in their time together.
