    About Jeff Herring

    Jeff Herring, originally from Montgomery, AL, began studying the guitar at the age of eleven. Quickly finding inspiration in the music and the community, much of the learning experience through middle and high school included an equal amount of ensemble as well as solo performing in various settings and styles around the Southeast.

    Jeff was awarded a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance from the Florida State University, where he studied under Bruce Holzman. During his time there, he expanded his repertoire and began teaching both privately and in studio, with classroom teaching experience. He also began to develop his skills on Piano and Ukulele while attending Florida State.

    At the University of Denver, where Jeff earned his Master of Music in Guitar and Composition, he was awarded a Teaching Assistantship for Guitar 2015-2017, that included forming his own lesson plans and pedagogic method for dozens of private students of varying skill levels, as well for Music Theory 2017-2018, which involved more classroom oriented experience. During that time, he started to compete internationally a well as broaden the scope of his musical experience with his compositional collaborations.

    Jeff currently still teaches and performs regularly around the Denver, Colorado, area.
