    About Gerardo Garcia

Gerardo is a piano and guitar player who began playing since age 13. As soon as he was able, he began playing with bands and gained exposure to the public. Although playing for the public was exciting, he wanted to continue to increase his skills in music, so he enrolled in the School of Music at the University of Costa Rica. He wanted to improve his sight-reading skills and increase his knowledge for a wider variety of music. He gained valuable teaching experience while at U.C.R. because he already had the skills and experience to work as a substitute teacher for the school and he also helped tutor other students. At this time, he also began teaching private guitar lessons to other students in his home.

His guitar instructor from U.C.R. asked him to be a part of an original Latin Jazz project that performed throughout Costa Rica for over three years. When the Munich Symphony Orchestra was touring in Costa Rica, he was asked to be a guest soloist for the orchestra. After he finished school, he began touring Costa Rica with a famous band, Pikin y La Nueva Septima, for a year. They played at large venues of 18,000 people and also performed on television multiple times. After moving to the United States, he pursued his writing and producing career. He has a home studio where he has recorded and produced his own C.D. as well as for others. He has also played with a variety of bands in the Dallas area playing classic rock, country, Spanish rock, Latin acoustic, etc.

Gerardo Garcia is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Keyboard and Piano Lessons, Song Writing Lessons, and Recording Engineer Production.
