Teacher Profile: Ethan Hounslow

About Ethan Hounslow

Ethan Hounslow played pots, pans, straws, and whatever else he could get his hands on from a very young age. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where, on his 3rd birthday, his grandmother gave him a child-sized drum set as a joke for his parents. Since then, Ethan has had a deep connection to the drums. He was self taught until he went to Oklahoma City Community College he studied music theory and joined the jazz band, and he began taking lessons to learn how to read. Ethan went on to the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media to study drums more seriously. Ethan Hounslow is now an AIMM graduate with a certificate in drums. He gigs around Atlanta and the midwest in various bands across a variety of genres. Ethan finds interest and importance in all styles of drumming, and hopes to continue learning and spreading his love of the drums through teaching for as long as life will allow.
