    About Eric Brattin

Eric Brattin started playing marching drums in Junior high school and learned the basics of reading sheet music as well as playing bass drum for marching cadences. After learning about rudiments and various notes Eric started playing drums in punk rock bands in his teen years in high school through college.

During the college years Eric mastered the basics of playing around town in various venues, including setting up and taking down drum gear. After college Eric played in, recorded with and toured with various rock and roll bands. Eric recorded with Alex Newport from At The Drive In/Mars Volta fame. He learned how to play and improvise with other musicians, learned a lot about drum life on the road and just interpersonal relationships with other musicians.

Currently, Eric is still playing drums in bands, recording and recently took up street drumming. Eric loves to listen to electronic dance music in his headphones, playing along to the metronomic rhythms.

Eric looks forward to teaching you everything you need to know about being a drummer. He teaches his students different styles of beats like rock, blues and jazz. Eric will also teach real life situations like setting up and taking down your drums for gigs in an efficient manner as well as how to play with others in a music setting.
