About Ell Lonsinger

Ell Lonsinger is a pianist, vocalist, songwriter, and music educator who teaches piano and voice lessons. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she holds a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting with minors in Recording & Production for Musicians and Game & Interactive Media Scoring. She began playing piano at age four in a musical household and has been making music ever since. Ell works in a wide range of styles including pop, rock, musical theater, jazz, R&B, and classical.

Ell’s musical background blends private study, ensemble work, and live performance. She trained privately for 16 years and studied across 10 instruments, while participating in a wide range of school ensembles including concert choir, show choir, a cappella choir, concert band, jazz band, and musical theater. She performed on flute, alto saxophone, guitar, and bass, appeared in productions such as The Little Mermaid, Into the Woods, and Songs for a New World, and played in local bands since age 14. At Berklee, she focused on songwriting, production, and media scoring, studying with Pat Pattison, Lee Moretti, and Eric Hamel. Her performance experience includes Summerfest, Bitter Jester Music Festival, and Berklee College of Music showcases. She draws inspiration from artists such as Origami Angel, Carly Cosgrove, Ella Fitzgerald, Melt, and Sammie Rae & The Friends.

As a teacher, Ell focuses on building strong musical foundations while keeping lessons creative, engaging, and personalized. She believes students learn best when they feel encouraged to explore, experiment, and bring their own voice into the music they play. Her lessons combine technique, theory, and creativity through repertoire and creative projects. Above all, she aims to help students feel confident, expressive, and excited to practice. Ell is excited to work with Lessons In Your Home students and support them in building both skill and a lasting love of music.
