    About Dylan Cleverdon

Dylan Cleverdon is a proficient multi instrumentalist and song writer. His main instrument, the trumpet, has taken him all across the country and given him the opportunity to work with a wide range of professionals. while trumpet is his main instrument he has experience teaching and performing on piano, electric bass guitar, and most brass instruments (with Trombone being the sole exception).

While Dylan is heavily versed in classical repertoire, he has many experiences writing and recording Jazz, rock, soul and pop music. Dylan started playing trumpet when he was just 5 years old and joined a youth orchestra soon after that. at age 13 he joined the jazz bands on trumpet and bass guitar, soon after he went to WMEA state solo and ensemble on trumpet as a freshman and a sophomore and at age 17 he got the opportunity to study Jazz at a collegiate level with Rick White.

At age 16 he started producing and recording his own music, this has lead to a small underground following as an EDM artist and the occasional DJ gig under the alias Baastik. After moving to seattle at 18 he recorded his first live jazz album, and played a festival with a math rock band. then moved to New York for 3 months of trumpet study with Diego Hedez however, realizing seattle was his true love, he can now be found teaching lessons and gigging around the city either as a DJ, or leading his own soul-jazz band Liquid Culture.
