David is a guitarist, songwriter and performer raised in Great Falls, MT. His father was a school music teacher and his mother a school secretary and Sweet Adeline. David started trumpet at age 6 and played that from elementary through high school. At age 14, he picked up a guitar and hasn’t put it down since. He also plays piano which he sometimes prefers over guitar because “you don’t have to tune it!”
From a very early age, David has performed in numerous band concerts, recitals, musicals, try-outs, auditions, theatre productions, theatre/movie acting and live band performances. He was a finalist in MT State HS Drama competition for humerous solo. Right out of high school, David and his band went to “cut an album “ in Studio City CA where he quickly learned how that business works. He took Dads advice and got a day job which turned out to be nursing. David is a retired RN after 35 years service. Throughout his nursing career, David provided music and entertainment for many of his patients, both impromptu and as an organized musical therapy activity.
David believes that music is much more than learning notes and chords- music provides comfort, laughter, connection and transformation. He is excited and honored to share his knowledge and experience with you.
