    About Daniel Kostenko

Daniel Kostenko has been a drummer since the age of 2 and has been pursuing the world of music for over 2 decades! Daniel's parents realized at a very young age that he had a natural gift at playing the drums and that is when he got his first drum set.

In 2009, Daniel had appeared on the Seattle Times Newspaper as "One of the best child prodigies of the decade" and has now played over 500+ shows having also performed in over 10 different countries. He has received an Associates in Drum Performance out of Musicians Institute College in downtown Hollywood, California and also won the illustrious "Best Performer" plaque award of his class. His studies/specializations range from Jazz, Blues, Funk, Rock, Latin, Afro-Cuban and is willing to teach any student regardless of age or skill level.

For Daniel, teaching students has always been a very satisfying and humbling experience since he is able to share and pass on the knowledge that he's collected over the years. Gaining insight from past teachers, as well as all of the drummers he's listened to and have had the honor of meeting and working with. Growing up, he has enjoyed all genres and styles of music and outside of teaching the instrument to students, he also enjoys producing his own music. Daniel is currently part of many projects in the greater Seattle area and Los Angeles. He feels honored to be a part of the LIYH family and looks forward to applying his own experiences to being your new drum instructor!
