About Britt Luinstra

Britt has been a dedicated educator since 2015 who has a passion for her students' musical growth as well as their personal growth. She is a versatile musician who started her musical career in 2009 when she joined a professional choir. Until the time she graduated, she toured nationally and internationally with this choir, performing at many iconic venues and competitions such as the Notre Dame, the Sydney Opera House and Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. Britt graduated from University of Colorado Denver with a degree in Songwriting while teaching music lessons to children and adults of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Music is a very personal and vulnerable journey for everyone and Britt takes teaching very seriously because of that. She cares deeply about every students and hopes they leave feeling better than they did going into the lesson. Britt recognizes that learning music is not a linear process - It is full of ups and downs and plateaus. Having a teacher who sympathizes with that and is willing to work with every student no matter what their process looks like is crucial for the development of all our students. Being compassionate and understanding is something she reminds herself before every lesson.
