Brianna Stewart is a Washington, D.C. based Piano and Voice instructor and performer. She is versed in a broad range of genres that include Pop, Classical, Musical Theater, R&B, and Sacred music.
Born in California, Brianna has been singing on stages since the age of 3. She started out mostly in choirs and praise teams, including the Maverick City Gospel Choir. As a member, she was able to perform at a number of venues with Grammy award-winning artists Kirk Franklin and Maverik City Music during the Kingdom Tour -- the largest gospel tour in history.
In addition to actively performing, Brianna has recently completed a Masters Degree at Berklee NYC, where she studied songwriting and music production under renowned instructors, Xenia Rubinos, Thavius Beck, and Mary Bragg. In working with Rubinos on her EP, Brianna was especially inspired by the way she helped her become confident in her own voice and developing her own sound.
Since completing her Masters at Berklee, Brianna has been actively teaching Piano and Voice to students of all ages, and she loves being a part of her students' musical journeys. She values individualizing her approach for each student, as every student is their own artist with their own goals. Her goal is to not only help them learn fundamentals on their instrument, but help them realize what makes music special for them. With Piano students, Brianna enjoys using the Faber method and incorporating pieces her students select. With Voice students, she enjoys the Full Voice approach in combination with exercises by Cheryl Porter and Jeff Mathena.
Brianna looks forward to being a part of her students' growth and journey with music. Her ultimate goal is to help them develop their artistry and instill a love of music within them!
