    About Anna Woods

    Anna Woods is a violinist, violist, pianist, and music educator. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Alabama and a Master of Music in String Pedagogy and Music Performance from Illinois State University. Anna has worked as a classroom teacher, private lesson teacher, and small group instructor with students ages 3 - 65+. With over 10 years of teaching experience, She is passionate about musician health and wellness with her master's research on injury prevention. Anna believes music should be shared with all and aims to curate lessons based on the music her students enjoy playing while building foundational skills and techniques.

    Anna has had the privilege of performing with the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, Starkville Symphony Orchestra, and the Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with pit orchestras for musical theatre, opera, and chamber groups for weddings and events.

    Anna Woods uses methodologies ranging from Suzuki to Rolland Pedagogy to provide a well-rounded music lesson with a focus on joy and ease of playing. She believes that enjoyable and long-lasting playing begins with a healthy approach to playing and equipment ergonomics.
