Angel has been singing since before elementary school and played the piano and guitar from a young age. As part of his training, he earned an Associate’s of Arts degree from Brookhaven College where he received instruction in voice from Melody Gamblin-Bullock and Stan Pascal. He went on to study at the University of Texas at Austin for a BA in Arts, Emphasis in Music where he received lessons from bass-baritone Donnie Ray Albert and performed regularly with the university ensembles under the direction of Dr. Suzanne Pence and Dr. James Morrow. Further part of his training included piano proficiency and lessons in diction in the following languages: French, German, and Italian.
He came back to Dallas where he was invited by church music directors Juan Davila and Conner McMains to be a part of their choirs and a cantor for them and several churches. Apart from singing every Sunday, he also performs for weddings, baptisms and any other special events that might need a cantor, both in English and Spanish. Because of regular performances, he is also hired by other members of the community who are in need of music for their events.
Angel is extremely passionate and dedicated when it comes to teaching, caring for the student’s well being above all else first. He is an experienced vocalist, guitarist, pianist and hopes to spread the wonder of music to as many students as possible.
