Amber has a deep love for music and has been making music with others all her life. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Toccoa Falls College in 2008 and immediately became a certified K-12 music teacher.
From age eleven, Amber excelled in flute and was invited to offer lessons to help others succeed. During high school, she began performing with a professional flute choir and started her own flute choir among her peers. During her final year of college, she moved to Kenya and taught kindergarten music, middle school band, high school choir, and enjoyed instructing eighteen private students, which is when she really fell in love with one-on-one teaching. Since then, she has taken every opportunity to travel the world, enjoying a wide variety of cultures and musical expressions and seeking to instruct and to inspire students wherever she goes.
Most recently, Amber taught elementary and middle school music at an international school in the Middle East, and taught a handful of piano students privately, in her home. Having just moved back to the United States, she is excited to share her love of music and learning with students of all walks of life, and to “learn the rules like a technician, and then break them like an artist” (Picasso).
