Alison Weber graduated from the University of Georgia earning her undergraduate degree in Music Education with Maggie Snyder. She is currently pursuing her Master’s of Music Education degree from the University of West Georgia. Alison or “Ally” will be starting her third year of teaching middle school orchestra in Gwinnett County in August. She has used music as a means of expression her whole life through solo viola, chamber music, and symphonic music.
Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia Alison enjoyed playing in the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra and school orchestra. She performed at Carnegie Hall with the Honors Performance Series and spent sometime in recording studios with different artists. In college, Ally performed with the University’s Symphony and the University’s Opera pit orchestra. At the University of Georgia, she also performed in a quartet and other “new music” chamber ensembles.
Outside of teaching orchestra, Alison is the middle school soccer coach at her school and loves spending time outside. She also enjoys baking, volunteering at her church, and spending time with her family.
I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Music Education in 2017. During this time I took viola lessons with Maggie Snyder.
