Alexandria Ritsi is an accomplished pianist and dedicated educator who has been sharing her love for music and learning for nearly two decades. Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Alexandria discovered her passion for piano at the age of four, inspired by her older sister’s lessons. Under the guidance of her long-time teacher, Mrs. Guido, she honed her skills over 14 years, culminating in her acceptance to Augustana College as a Piano Performance major. Her remarkable talent earned her a full scholarship, and she eventually graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Hellenic College.
During high school, Alexandria was actively involved in the music community, participating in four different choirs each year. She frequently showcased her piano skills by accompanying peers during talent shows and festive concerts, further demonstrating her versatility and passion for music.
Since 2005, Alexandria has been teaching piano to students of all ages, combining her deep musical expertise with her educational background. She finds immense joy in witnessing her students' progress, celebrating the hard work and dedication that lead to mastering new pieces. Her favorite composer, Chopin, holds a special place in her heart; his Nocturne in C-sharp minor was the piece that secured her university acceptance. She draws inspiration from films like *The Pianist* and often re-watches it to stay connected to the emotional depth of music.
When she’s not at the piano or teaching, Alexandria enjoys reading and baking, pursuits that bring balance and creativity to her life. Her journey as a musician and teacher continues to inspire those around her, fostering a lifelong love of music in her students.
