About Alexandra Levine

Alexandra is a Piano and Voice Teacher who instructs all ages from elementary through adult in the D.C. area. Alexandra started singing before she could talk and has performed all over the country and the world as a singer.

Music played an important role in Alexandra's life, and she went on earn her Bachelor’s of Music degree from the University of Florida, Magna cum Laude. She completed her Master’s at NYU Steinhardt School of Business, Education and Development, Summa cum Laude.

Alexandra was fortunate to study with extremely encouraging teachers throughout the years.  She has sung in stadiums, amphitheaters, opera houses and auditoriums her entire life. Alexandra also studied at Julliard with Maestro Victor LaSelva and Renee Fleming’s sister at Catholic University which led to many great performance opportunities including singing in 13 different languages at renowned opera houses all over the country and the world.

In addition to Voice, Alexandra also teaches Piano and began her own study at the age of 14. She believes that incorporating study in both instrumental areas leads to the best results and understanding for voice students. Piano is also an important foundational instrument to learn the basics of music theory and set up a successful framework for the future, no matter the instrument of interest! Alexandra works with Piano students of all ages -- from very young beginners through adults.

No matter the instrument, Alexandra enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities. She believes in a healthy balance of technique work, scholarly pieces, and explorative pieces. Throughout her life, Alexandra has fallen in love with music and has learned to appreciate every opportunity to evolve not only herself, but also students into being better versions of themselves through music. Her goal is to help the next generation of music students and share the concepts that have helped her have a successful journey with music.
