Alex Trainor is a multi instrumentalist from Chicago, Illinois. He has studied Jazz Theory, Composition, and Performance with Henry Sherman. He started playing guitar in 2003 and has been leading bands since 2007. He has done session work at Doghouse Music Studios as well as Z Spot Studio. Alex currently plays guitar for Henry Sherman’s Jazz Q and plays bass for Bear and the Beasts.

Alex believes in playing to the students interests and passions while putting an emphasis on the fundamentals of music theory. He has worked with students of all ages on guitar, vocals, bass, piano, and ukulele.
