Addison Viets began piano lessons at the age of 4 in Naples, Florida
studying with Mason's Music. He continued his study with piano until
the age of 18, participating in and receiving scholarships from many
Naples Music Club competitions over the years. In 6th grade, he began
playing Violin in the Pine Ridge Middle School orchestra under the
direction of Judy Evans. Later, in high school, he joined the Naples
Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. In 10th grade, he began Viola as well,
and played not only in the school orchestra, which performed in
Carnegie Hall, but also in the chamber orchestra, small quartet group,
and the pit orchestra, which provided the music for the school musicals.
Addison moved to Orlando in 2007 for college and began studying at
UCF for Music Education. He first started teaching with three different
music schools located throughout Orlando. These schools provide after
school music classes in the Orlando and surrounding areas. In addition,
he has been teaching private violin, viola, cello, and piano lessons since
2009 both teaching through a studio in Winter Garden as well as on his
own time. He also received a Violin Teacher of the Year award from
Music After School.
