About Peace Phan
Peace Phan is a Seattle native and has twenty-two years of experience in piano performance, teaching, and accompanying choirs. As a current special education teacher at Mariner High School, Peace has great interest and ability in teaching piano to students with unique learning abilities. Peace loves working with kids and believes that his students have taught him as much as he has taught them. Peace studied piano performance and sacred music with Dr. John Pickett at Central Washington University and Father Kevin Waters, SJ at Gonzaga University. He continued on to accompanying choirs at Nelsen Middle School and Charles A. Lindbergh High School of the Renton School District under the direction of Mr. Brian Hoskins. After college and teaching in private Catholic schools, Peace also taught piano at the beginning and intermediate levels to elementary and middle school students, as well as accompanied various church choirs in Seattle. Peace received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies at Gonzaga University and Master of Education from Antioch University (Seattle).
